What are Enablement Hack-a-Thons?

Hackathons are innovative competitions where teams come together to pitch their ideas to solve real-life problems. We’ve all heard of engineering teams having these events, so naturally we thought why not have them for Enablement teams.

Spend time with fellow Enablement professionals, in-person, discussing, strategizing, and sharing knowledge. No slides. Just post-its, sharpies, whiteboards, and shared brilliance! Bring a problem, solve a problem!

Hack-a-Thon (New York)

Bring a problem, solve a problem! Spend time with fellow Enablement professionals, in-person, discussing, strategizing, and sharing knowledge. No Slides - just post-its, sharpies, whiteboards, and shared brilliance!

This hackathon will have a little extra pop with guest speaker Phil Putnam  kicking things off.

Countless organizations are taking sharp focus on employee performance challenges right now, but nearly all of them are trying to resolve those challenges without addressing the true fuel of performance: employee motivation.

People work to get the life they want, and they will always care more about their life than their employer’s success. So, the most reliable pathway to sustained top performance is for their job to be a pathway to the life they want.  Phil Putnam's Motivating Top Performance workshop teaches people leaders how to establish & clarify that pathway and leverage it as the engine of their team members’ performance.

Date & Time: Tuesday, September 17th from 1-5p

Location: HiBob, 257 7th Ave. #1705, New York, NY 10001

EDGE SESSIONS: Bridging The Four Levels: The Missing Links In The Kirkpatrick Model

EDGE SESSIONS: Bridging The Four Levels: The Missing Links In The Kirkpatrick Model

Join RES+The Enablement Squad for this hands-on workshop and talk shop with seasoned professional, Nick Lawrence, Manager, Global Sales Enablement at Databricks and moderated by Michelle Curtis from The Enablement Squad.

The simplicity of the Kirkpatrick Model is both a blessing and a curse. It's the most popular evaluation method among L&D-focused teams; yet less than 5% of training departments reach Level 4 in their evaluation. The oversimplification of the model leaves large gaps in-between the levels, leaving most teams unable to bridge them. In this session, we'll learn how to bridge those gaps and move up each level with credibility.

Hack-a-Thon (Denver) Hacking Behavior Change

SUPER Hackathon brought to you in partnership with The Practice Lab! This is an event you won’t want to miss, this is not a regular hackathon but a SUPER hackathon!

What is a super hackathon? This super hackathon will be unlike any that we’re hosting this year ;)

Ever heard the expression “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”?

Well in enablement we lead a lot of horses to water, just to watch them not drink…

or rather; lead a bunch of sellers to [exactly what they need to do differently to succeed], just to watch them [keep selling the way they’ve always sold and get the results they’ve always gotten].
It’s painful, it’s maddening, and it’s almost universal across every sales team out there.

So what gives? Why are people whose income depends on performance so hesitant to implement training that would improve their performance? And what can you do about it?

You’ll get insight into those questions and more at the July Hackathon, called ‘Hacking Behavior Change”. At this half day event you’ll:
- learn about an entirely different approach to sales training that is based on the    kind of training performers, athletes, and musicians use.
- You’ll get acquainted with 5 different modes of practice and work with your  peers to identify which of them you can use to change each of the most high-impact, make-or-break behaviors on your sales team,
- And you’ll leave with a detailed outline for a 12 week practice-based behavior change program you can use to bring about meaningful improvements in your team’s calls.

We can’t wait to see you, register here!

Alex Kracov, CEO & Co-Founder of Dock, will break down the shift from sales to buyer enablement.

Alex Kracov, CEO & Co-Founder of Dock, will break down the shift from sales to buyer enablement.

Sales enablement has historically focused on the seller’s experience. Enablement tool stacks have focused on internal enablement, like ramping new sales hires (LMS), organizing sales content (CMS), and storing customer data (CRM).But the selling environment has changed. Only 5% of a buyer’s time is spent talking to a single rep/company—most buying conversations happen internally behind closed doors. The best way to enable deals is to focus on the buyer’s experience.

Join the Sales Enablement Squad for a webinar on June 25, 2024, where Alex Kracov, CEO & Co-Founder of Dock, will break down the shift from sales to buyer enablement.

The webinar will cover:

  • A brief history of sales enablement tools

  • Why buyers buy and how the selling environment has changed

  • Why sales deal rooms are a win for buyers, sellers, and enablement teams

Then, stick around for a roundtable discussion between Zach Jacobson (Revenue Enablement Specialist at Jamf), Matt Schalsey (Enablement Squad Co-founder), and Alex Kracov (CEO of Dock). They’ll answer everything you need to know about how enablement teams are already using sales deal rooms to provide a standout buyer experience.
